User Accounts
Account Creation

Payment and Refund Policy

 - • Payment processing fees may apply and are non-refundable

Refund Policy

 - • We may process refunds in cases of clear platform errors or service failures
 - • Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the relevant transaction
 - • Processing time for approved refunds is 5-10 business days
 
Currency and Exchange Rates
All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP). For international transactions, currency conversion is handled by payment processors at current market rates. We are not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a licence to use it for platform operations. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you submit.
Disclaimers
Service Availability
We strive to maintain platform availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or modify services for maintenance or other reasons. Our platform should not be used for permanent storage of essential documents like invoices and project files. Please maintain backup copies of all important information for your records.
Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by installers or other third parties. Users should conduct their own due diligence.
Estimates and Calculations
Our estimates are for guidance only and should not be considered as definitive quotes. Actual costs and performance may vary significantly.
Platform Role and Dispute Resolution
EnerWise operates as a matching platform that connects homeowners with renewable energy installers. We are not a party to any agreements between homeowners and installers, and we do not provide installation services ourselves. In the event of disputes between homeowners and installers, we cannot provide assistance with resolution. All disputes must be resolved directly between the parties involved, or through appropriate legal channels.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnerWise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.
Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EnerWise from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights.
Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Some obligations may survive termination.

We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or other reasons at our discretion.
Force Majeure
EnerWise shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these terms which is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

 - • War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government actions
 - • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
 - • Strikes, labour disputes, or industrial action
 - • Internet outages, cyber attacks, or technical failures beyond our control
 - • Changes in law or regulation affecting our services
 
In the event of force majeure, we will use reasonable efforts to minimise the impact and resume normal service as soon as reasonably practicable.
Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, the following options may be available:

We may consider participating in such processes on a case-by-case basis, but are not obligated to do so.
